Maule Valley, Chile. Refreshing, Racy, Medium Sweet
Sauternes, France. Luscious, Rich, Sticky sweet wine
Stopped off here with some dishevelled friends after a festival to refuel ..it was genuinely delicious! well presented, fresh ingredients, great portions, worth every penny! I'd nearly make sure i'm passing this way again sometime in the future just to have the opportunity to eat there again!
During a recent visit to Shepton Mallet, we decided we would go back to the Mendip Inn for dinner, as we had had an excellent dinner there in January. We were not disappointed. It was every bit as good as we remembered!

The Mendip Inn is an exciting venue by food and hospitality entrepreneurs Jon and Nick Rossi, the brothers behind the famous Rugantinos Restaurant at Ancient Gatehouse and White Hart Hotel in Wells.
Styled by the talented team behind Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant, The Mendip Inn takes the concept of a great British pub and adds an exciting, contemporary style of its own without losing that sense of welcome you get at the very best pubs.
As well as the A La Carte menu, we also offer the best Sunday lunch in Mendip and a children’s menu. Our menus offer wide range of options for vegetarians.
The Ancient Gatehouse and Rugantinos is one of three restaurants in the Rossi and Rossi loyalty scheme. You can choose between three levels of membership: Black, Red and Basic. Each one offers fantastic benefits and discounts which can be used in any of the Rossi and Rossi restaurants. Each member receives monthly offers for birthdays, anniversary's and partners birthdays. With the Black and Red membership cards you receive free tea and coffee with every food purchase over £10. For every £1 you spend you receive 1 point. When you have saved 150 points you can choose between a free bottle of house wine or £5 off your bill.
